Hey guys, how are we doing? I’m sorry I went awol..
A little over two weeks ago, I was contacted and invited to a fringe soiree that was being hosted by LeRougeByAmma. But there’s a brief backstory here – I had been stalking this brand since they launched because of how uniquely elegant her collection is. Now I’d had my eyes on one of her pieces from the Prevail collection (the fringe dress) for ages because a lot of celebrities on my radar had slayed this dress as seen here, here, here and here….and as the universe would have it, I was styled by LeRouge for the event in the exact same dress! guys…my excitement was out of this world.
A couple of other bloggers were reached out to as well (because nowadays no event is complete without bloggers lol). There was Rhoda who styled the fringe skirt, Demi and Onyi who gave us two different takes on the jackets….yes they’re jackets. Even more delightful is the fact that guests that turned up in their fringe pieces. It was nothing short of colorful – watch the vlog here.
You can tell that a lot of attention goes into the designing of her pieces. From the bold colors to the intricate fringing, the mid-length of the gown, the hem of the skirt and the cut of the jackets that Demi and Onyi wore, Le Rouge by Amma is definitely the way to go.
If there’s one holiday that I’ve been looking forward to celebrating in Nigeria, it’s Halloween but given the way our society misinterprets and reacts to scary costumes and anything that slightly veers off the deep dark end, movies and Instagram pictures have been sufficing. However, this year, Sheraton Hotel hosted a Halloween party and I was invited (this is kind of becoming a thing with Sheraton).
So given the intro to this post, it was literally impossible to get any decent Halloween costume in Abuja so I resorted to a my closet and did my best to pull off anything my clothes could offer. I also have to say that the chef at Sheraton did a mighty fine job with the carved pumpkin and the entire menu. The treats for the night were everything from fingers in a cup to portions of the brain and if you know Sheraton like I know Sheraton, You’ll know that their wines are nothing to be compared to.
I just thought to share this with you guys! Thanks for stopping by!
Here’s to the lady that thinks her hair is too short, her eyes are too big and her lips are too wide.
Here’s to the lady that feels disadvantaged because she didn’t school abroad and doesn’t speak with an accent.
Here’s to the lady that thinks she doesn’t measure up because she still depends on cabs and can’t beat her face to perfection by herself.
Here’s to the lady that wishes she had the picture perfect hour glass figure, visibly clear skin and pink supple lips.
Here’s to the lady that works long hours and has a less than average social life because she’s unable to attend as many events as she wishes she could.
Here’s to the twenty something year old lady who is still single and feels a twinge of guilt or hurt every time anyone asks whether she has a boyfriend.
Here’s to the lady that wishes she was born into another family because the circumstances surrounding hers are not favorable.
Here’s to you, with whatever (im)perfection you’re constantly beating yourself up about.
You are enough. I’m no better than you and you’re in no competition to out-do anyone. I don’t get to create notions about you because of your appearance and you don’t get to look down on yourself because you think you have less to offer.
To the girl you never noticed before, you are the perfect woman. To the lady living on the next street, you have the brightest smile she has ever seen. To the cashier at the bank you visit frequently, your cheek bones were perfectly sculpted. To one of your followers on Instagram, your Instagram feed is goals. To the woman you will eventually grow to become, you are perfect.
So here’s to you my lady, you’re a super human.

It’s the weekend! The irony of this is that i’m working tomorrow – Saturday – but there’s just something about Fridays that makes me so happy. Now despite my weekend situation, I thought to drop off a little weekend outfit inspiration because I’m nice like that!
This is another piece that I snagged from TheOutletStyleTrailer1 and one of the things I love the most about this outfit is the lace detailing. It’s literally a game changer because and can easily transform this outfit from a casual weekend in the shops to hard core party girl at night.
I’m back with another outfit from the collaboration with @TheOutletStyleTrailer1 and this time around, we’re putting a spin on your average Monday work wear. If I lived in Miami and worked a 9-5 job, I bet this would be appropriate work wear, wouldn’t it? lol! But how gorgeous are these trousers?
Prior to this collaboration, I had never pulled of a look with floral pants in my entire adult life but I guess there is always a first time for everything. I always admired them on others but you guys know that i’m willing to push the boundaries for y’all. To be honest, there was something about this pair of trousers that kept pulling me to them on the clothing rail. Maybe its the vibrant emerald green or the texture or the mixture of black and green but I love love love these pants.
After overcoming my fear of mesh onesies in this post, pairing the trousers with this bodysuit was a walk in the park and I love the amount of sexiness and sophistication it adds to the entire ensemble. And lets not forget the jacket with all the pearls and embellishments on it. How fitting is this outfit for a cocktail? Or most any weekend event you’ve got planned this weekend?
This look is still available @TheOutfitStyleTrailer1 and you can purchase this at a discount with the code KACHI17. Head on over to their page and get the best bargains while you can.
P.S: Did you catch my feature on Bella Naija Style last week? Apparently, there’s a new series featuring uber bella stylish fashionistas and my first collaboration made the list. Here’s a link to the article.
I’m back like I promised and I’m just in time for the weekend. In continuation of my collaboration with @TheOutletStyleTrailer1 is another solution to your weekend needs. Beyond the blissful satisfaction that 48 hours of nothingness brings is being able to slip into an amazing outfit without a second thought.
Ever wondered why onesies are so amazing (even for adults)? Its because once you have that one piece on, the rest is history and a wrap dress is no different – It’s the perfect combination of effortless and chic. I thought to style this with a pair of sneakers and a handy straw hat to add a tiny summer vibe to it.
I Love the Tuscan vibes that the entire ensemble gives off and there’s just something about pairing a floral dress with sneakers that screams weekender. This is also available at TheOutletStyleTrailer1 and the discount code: KACHI17 is sure to knock a few bucks of the retail price.
Have a great weekend guys!
Hello my lovelies,
I’m back so soon right? Well you know how when you have hot gossip, you’re itching to share it with whoever will listen? That’s what this is – only better. I recently collaborated with an amazing brand called TheOutletStyleTrailer and put together the most amazing Lookbook. The beauty of this series is that it cuts across every facet of the average week in your life so from your work wear to weekend wear, street style and a little sexy date night number (which is what this post is about), I will have them all here in the next few days so keep your eyes peeled.
If you’ve been worried about what to wear on your next date night with the bae, girl thank me later because I thanked myself after styling this outfit. I went for a pair of floral patterned culottes and a mesh body suit which in my opinion is the perfect balance between a grown lady that still has her style in check.
First off, you want to show some skin but not too much skin and also maintain a bit of sass, edge and elegance. Culottes did a major comeback last year but these floral patterned ones have a way of making you feel a bit more feminine – if you know what i mean *wink*wink*. And truth be told, I had never worn a mesh bodysuit until this brand approached me – Yes I said it. I’m not so much of a risk taker but for a look like this, I will lay down on a bed of pins.
Before anyone asks, outfit details are below and you can shop this look from their Instagram page @TheStyleTrailer1 at a discounted price with the code KACHI17. So what do you think, would you wear this ensemble out on a date night? Leave a comment and happy shopping!

How was your weekend? Mine was very restful and my week is off to a great start. I had brunch at a new post that just opened in Abuja and although i’m going to do a full post on it later on, I thought to share these pictures with you.
Have a great week ahead!
How are we doing today? It feels as if I’ve been away for the longest time and I probably have, but i’m back. I was presented with free tickets to attend the Indigo Sky Fashion show that held on Saturday, 17th September at Dunes and guys, I was pleasantly impressed.
Long after the show was over, I couldn’t get over some of the styles and designs that graced the runway. I said this on Instagram a few days back and i’ll repeat it. Gone are the days when you’ll compulsorily have to look to fashion retailers for foreign brands when it comes to occasion wear. With the emergence of more indigenous fashion brands who are pushing the limits and are not afraid to test the waters, I foresee a very different industry in no distant time. Among my favorites that walked the runway were: SabaliFashion and Oroko 7
I had the pleasure of bumping into some of my favorite fashion bloggers and you cab bet we had a swell time. I have a vlog style review of this fashion show on my YouTube channel and you can watch this here.
