HOLIDAY OUTFITS SERIES: LOOK 1&2

Christmas is the time to dazzle. it gives us the perfect opportunity to be extra without having to explain why we’re being extra – I mean what other time during the year are we permitted to sear a sun dress for brunch, gold sandals for a lunch date or sparkly stone earrings and a glittery dress for dinner other than Christmas time?

In as much as it’s fun to dress up and sashay about town, I know that putting together festive outfits can also be a bit of a bother so this year, I have teamed up with a couple of brands and I will be bringing you Outfit Inspiration that will save you from rummaging your closet unproductively. These holiday outfit ideas will be accessible, practical and easy on your bank account. So shall we begin?

  1. PLAID TROUSERS + A WHITE SHIRT

By the time the festivities pick up, most people feel like adding a Christmasy touch to their work gear and what isĀ  Christmas outfit without plaid? It’s safe to say that one of the traditional prints of this time of year is plaid and nothing says “I’m in the Festive Mood” like a pair of Black & Red patterned trousers; paired with a white shirt and black blazer for the corporate environment.

2. PALAZZO TROUSERS + A CROP TOP

If you pride yourself in being a fashionista, opt for an outfit idea that’ll out a modern spin on a classic look. Here I paired one of my all time elegant crop tops with palazzo trousers. I like the demure flair that the crop top adds to this ensemble. It’s nicely covered in front but the back detailing takes ladylike sexiness to a level. It has a belt that helps you cinch the waist in, while allowing you tie a bow that falls lightly over your bum.

Can we also talk about the trousers and how chic they are? I was chatting with a follower on Instagram yesterday and I was ranting about how difficult it is to find a pair of trousers for my size 2/4 waist that requires no amendment. Well. thankfully @mareh_atelier has everyone covered and you can totally steal both looks from her right now.
