It’s been a hot minute I know, I know – my apologies but I came back with enough treats and goodies to fill that belly of yours. Remember this post where I shared my experience at Sheraton Hotel’s paired menu a few months ago ? Well they’re at it again with more paired menus than before and if there’s one thing I love about Sheraton, it’s the fact that they make enough variations to their menus that are guaranteed to keep guests coming back.
So as this post suggests, there was another Paired Menu Lunch and guys, the next time you’re looking for a breakfast or brunch spot, you’d best consider Sheraton. The pairings were nothing short of brilliant – from the puff-puff to the suya, the hot and crispy spring rolls and the best of sandwiches that I can swear by. Friday was one night that I was willing to set my diet aside.
What was most interesting were the premium wines and locally distilled beers that the small plates were expertly matched with. I started off with a glass of the Culemborg cape white and my palate was graced with a fresh floral blend of citrus and apple aromas. The second glass I had was Casillo Del Diablo’s cabernet sauvignon and boy was this a glass of goodness. There were notes of black berries, spices, cocoa (can you tell I know my wines?) – you should just go there and taste it for yourself.
The night obviously wouldn’t have been complete without music, laughter and entertainment.
I’m really grateful to have been invited and I certainly look forward to the next event.
