SLAYHARDPAYSMALL ON JUMIA

Hey my lovelies!

If you follow me on Instagram @kachi_of_staples, you must have probably come across the hashtag #SlayHardPaySmall all week and if nothing gets your attention, the fact that a string of letters insinuate that you can slay hard without breaking bank must have gotten to you. So what’s this about?
Jumia is currently offering an amazing discount on all fashion and beauty products on their platform. Now except you’ve been living in an alternate universe for the last six (6) years, Jumia is an online shopping platform that hosts a slew of merchants offering everything from electronics to homeware, fashion, skincare and beauty and form the 8th to 14th of October, they are offering up to 80% discount on fashion and beauty products, and with my discount code: FBWXKACHI, you will get N750 off your entire order at checkout.  So I also had a peek (okay maybe I did a little more than just peek) at their fashion and beauty bits and I rounded up my top picks with the direct links for you to shop the exact same pieces.

TOP PICK NO 1: BURGUNDY PRINT SWEATSHIRT

I used to think that T-shirts with words on them were silly. I thoroughly detested them until a couple of fashion seasons ago when they became a huge trend and my love for sweatshirts was also budding. Fast-forward to present day Kachi whose off-duty style transitioned to a sports bra, an oversized sweatshirt and boy shorts. I was super stoked when I came across this sweatshirt on Jumia but I was even more elated when I received my order and felt the texture. It’s not that annoying scuba material – it’s the exact opposite. It’s the warmest cashmere that is lightweight but thick enough to keep you warm. Tjis is still available and you can shop this exact sweatshirt here.

TOP PICK NO 2: POLKA DOTTED V-NECK DRESS

One of the many upsides of living in Nigeria is that it’s summer all year round so there’s always an excuse to wear a lightweight summery breezy dress – and believe you me, this dress is as cute in person as it looks in the image on the website. I ordered it in a size small and it also has a belt that nipped me on both sides to reveal my tiny curves. Order yours here.

TOP PICK NO 3: NUDE TURTLENECK SWEATER

No matter what you tell me, you can never have too many turtlenecks (or as I like to call it polo necks). It’s one of those basics that you need to have up to two or three pieces of. When I was scrolling through the “Tops” category on their site, I came across this, saw that they had it in black and white and added all three to my basket. My order got to me and when I felt it for he first time, I was pleasantly surprised – because it can pass for 100% cashmere (which would be a lot more than N3,500 in the grand scheme of things). I was beyond shocked at how soft it felt and the fluted sleeves are extra credit. You can shop the black here and the white here. Sadly, they’re out of the nude.

TOP PICK NO 4: AFRICAN NERD SWEATSHIRT

If the urban fashion princess and the prince of the traditional gods got together, this ethic sweatshirt would be their lovechild. I mean….do you even need to give this a second glance before adding it to your cart? P.S: my sweatshirt and I are sorta matching and i’m not mad at this at all. Grab yours here now and thank me later.

TOP PICK NO 5: BLACK HOODIE

So it’s a Saturday morning, you need to make a quick run to the store but you’ve been in full couch potato mode all day long and you’re not ready to put on any fancy shirt just to grab some eggs, cinnamon and an extra jar of peanut butter from the local store down the road. What do you reach for?????……exactly. I cobbed mine here and you should do the same. Don’t say i never did anything good for you.

Many thanks to Jumia for sponsoring this post. I would love to see what you guys buy so tag @JumiaNigeria and @Kachi_of_staples and also use the hashtag #SlayHardPaySmall #JumiaFashion while you’re at it.
