I was looking through my screen grabs from way back in March and i realized that more than a quarter of them were of people in long line vests, trench coats and outer wear..but there was one common thing- they were all paired with either denim or corporate trousers yet ever since i hopped on the bandwagon, I’ve never worn mine the “main” way. So I thought to share my take on this with you guys.
I’m a sucker for lbd’s (little black dresses) and while I love to glam up every single day, I also like freedom. Remember this post where I told you guys I had to cut my midi skirt because I just couldn’t handle the stress or possibility of falling smack down on the floor? Yeah – typical kachi. So when styling my long line vest, I keep the inner wear basic. In this picture i’m actually wearing a dress that is about four sizes bigger because not every time form fitted gowns, right?
Then I accentuate smallness of my waist and give the outfit a boost with my ever dependable tassel belt wrapped around my waist.
This outfit easily passes for work and when I decide to rock it to church, I wear a different color on the inside..maybe a lace one piece and I swap my everyday brooch for one with a little more attitude.
I hope someone finds this useful. Thanks for stopping by!
