Hey lovelies..

I’ve been waiting impatiently for summer and to be frank, nothing says summer quite like floral patterns right? With the coming of frequent rains in Abuja and our ever present sunlight, this two piece from Izihann seems like the perfect for the coming season.

The tailoring of this set (and probably the entire Izihann collection I featured) got my heart. You know how you’re fitting a dress in a changing room and you wish it was just a tad tighter….I had no reason to wish for nothing. I tried the trousers on and they didn’t hang just below my belly button like most “excuses for high-waisted trousers” do.

They swooped all the way up, cinched my waist to perfection and the top had me wondering why I hadn’t been wearing tops like this all along.

I’m not much of a florals person but I went beyond just doing a feature on this piece – I had to own it. And the beauty of sets like this is the fact that you can wear them separately with other things. I see myself wearing the top with a white pair of shorts and white sliders and I can probably list a million other ways in which the trousers can be paired.

How else would you style both pieces

I believe in buying Nigerian and promoting indigenous brands, I believe that someday, there'll be Nigerian fashion retail outlets at every turn with ready to wear pieces that are affordable for the everyday lady and I believe that chocolate cake and candy bars make the world go round.
