So it’s been a long year..right? You got promoted on your job, made partner, started a new business, hit a milestone or learnt how to bake a cake…and finally it’s Christmas. A time to celebrate with family, make memories, indulge in a little too many pieces of chicken and do a lot of cleaning *rolling my eyes at this point* but have you ever thought about embarking on a solo Christmas trip? Breaking the tradition a bit and just escaping?
Christmas really does have a powerful hold on our society and it’s very significant too but wouldn’t you like to break that tradition for once – escape all the family drama that ensues by the 27th, avoid bumping into your ex (that you didn’t exactly end things well with), escape from all the cleaning (because by the time you’ve made Christmas dinner to feed the entire clan you know you have quite a bit of cleaning to do) and just relax and unwind. I checked into Plot 1010 and it got me thinking – maybe it’ll be a great opportunity to ease off, recharge, do some soul searching and sleep!
As much as I love my family (and I love them to the mood and back a gazillion times), relaxing during the day, letting room service cater to me at odd hours, having a glass of wine or two without thinking about driving and taking in crisp christmasy air on my balcony without any disturbance seems like a pretty darn good idea to me. Plot 1010 is a home away from home with staff dedicated to ensuring you get the best of your stay.
My apartment opens into a spacious entry way, a living room with a sectional sofa long and cozy enough for a couch potato, a six seater dining area, a kitchen (in case I want to brew a cup of tea or whatever), two bedrooms with queen sized beds in them and a balcony that opens up to the most captivating view of Abuja. Brilliantly tucked away in a little nook, you pretty much get the feeling of Travelling for Christmas.
I created a highlight for Hotels on my profile and I just uploaded a cute little video there. Click here to be redirected to my Instagram page to watch this. Thank you for reading and complements of the season.
