I rarely ever wear maxi skirts… like never ever..like once in a million years kind of never but in recent times, l’ve taken some fashion risks that i ordinarily wouldn’t and I cant say I’m mad at it. The Boho chic style is one that I come across every time I’m on Pinterest but knowing myself and given the kind of life I lead, I like investing in pieces that are versatile. If I can wear an item of clothing to Work, Church, Events..or random Brunch meet-ups with the girls then I’m sold.
I found this Maxi skirt in El Boogie Boutique and I was instantly drawn to the colour. It’s a very effeminate shade of blush that you can typically wear with a white broderie anglaise kinda top (while enjoying a glass of Prosecco in the garden). I also like the fact that it’s a solid color and it’s not too poofy which means that I can easily switch it up to a formal attire by throwing on a blazer and a white cami. I also came across this black bralette and I immediately knew it would be a perfect match with the skirt.
I’m pretty sure you can also pair the skirt with a button down flannel or chambray top, complete with sneakers and a bright pink lipstick.
The boho style may not be one that you’re disposed to filling in your closet, but a little splash here and there won’t hurt nobody.
I paired this look with a cute Mini purse. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know how much I love mini purses. They’re such a cute little addition to your outfit and they definitely give no room for additional “unnecessary” bits and pieces. I am guilty of mistakenly chucking my tv remote in my bag and heading out the door – but with a mini purse, there’ll definitely be zero room for that.
