Hey lovelies
Yes, there’s a guest on the blog, it’s none other than MsDemi Akin of I came across her on Instagram through thebloggerpointng – a virtual community of bloggers and upon reading her blog, it became apparent how much we have in common. She’s one of the easiest people to get along with, has an amazing sense of style and has successfully grown her blog which is why I was nothing short of pleased when she suggested we do a collaboration.

We decided we’d bring you style tips on how to rock white bottoms to work because what seems like a basic wardrobe staple is kinda difficult for some ladies. To be honest, I didn’t own a pair until a year ago when I decided it was time to give them a try.

I work in the luxury industry where appearance is everything. One minute I’m in my chill zone enjoying a smoothie and the next, I get call from a HNI and I’m off to another presentation and hunnays trust me, you don’t want to show up,second guessing your outfit, mentally scanning through your closet, piecing together other combinations you wish had on – like nah! So when I do get to wear white to work, I like to color co-ordinate. Although it makes you a little more conscious of where to sit, white in itself gives an aura of sophistication so hey…you might as well walk with your head held high and mind who you bump into.

To keep my bottoms from veering into potato couch territory, I folded the legs up just a little for a more preppy and a less intimidating look.

On the accessories front, I like to keep them minimal but this bag I have is like my joker. It allows for alternating different scarfs that add a ladylike flair to my outfit and this time around, i figured i’d play with a multicolored one to break up the monochromatic look going on. (outfit details at the bottom of the post)

However, If you’re not like me and would rather go for a more laid back, casual kinda ensamble, head over to to find MsDemi’s tips on how to rock this look.

Many thanks again to MsDemi. It was fantastic working with her on this one.
