Hey guys, so this begins the first of my Home & Living posts this year. If you’ve followed me long enough on my socials and here as well, you’ll know what I am Interior decorator by day (literally what my day job entails) and one of the things I looked out for when I was moving out of my old apartment was a place that afforded me the flexibility of creating different moods and feels every now and then.

The few friends I have can attest to how frequently my decor and arrangement changes. I’m constantly buzzing with ideas- there was this one time that I started re-arranging my apartment at 11:30pm and I made so much noise that the neighbors below me complained the next morning. I always look to Pinterest for new inspiration and then, I look for the quickest, easiest and most cost effective way of adopting whatever I see. In all this, the one factor that makes it easy to keep moving things around is the color theme – white.

There is definitely a reason a gazillion people prefer white to any other color, and I’ll share. Before now, my apartment was painted in a light shade of grey and I have a lot of great memories of that hue. When you come into your living space, you want to shut the world out, relax into the ambiance of your solitude and calm your nerves and your surrounding definitely plays a huge role. Stick with soft earthy tones – beiges, champagnes, greys, whites and blush pinks – that instantly create a calming sensation within you.

Thanks for reading guys.
